Graduate Associate Live Services Specialist
The SRE/DevOps teams are responsible and accountable for Sage’s online Product portfolio segregated by market segments. The teams ensure our Products and Services are secured, resilient and highly available for our customers to use to run their businesses.

The Graduate/Associate specialist works closely with their LSM team deploying, administering, and monitoring their services. The Graduate/Associate specialist should have enterprise level server experience but possibly little or no Cloud experience. In this position they will develop their understanding of Cloud Technologies and the DevOps role, working to develop their relationships with the Product Delivery teams.

Our Graduate/Associate specialists will learn and come up to speed on administer and maintain existing systems using standard operational processes & operational capabilities. Using guidance from Security, Architecture and Senior Live Services Specialists, the Graduate/Associate specialist develops their knowledge, working alongside their colleagues to help build new services always using the latest technology and building in automation and CI/CD, streamlining processes across teams and administration of new systems.

To be successful, this candidate should have a very strong scripting skill. You love doing independent research and can read code. You have an ability to balance user requirements while understanding policies and compliance boundaries.

This is a 24/7 operation that requires on call coverage from each specialist to problem solve any service incidents that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:

• With minimal supervision, and mentorship, achieve the following within a two years period:
• Learn and become proficient in how to Create, maintain, and administer cloud environments, ensuring they are secure and scalable to satisfy operational and customer needs.
• Learn and become proficient Monitor applications and systems, proactively identifying issues and mitigating them to improve the customer experience.
• Prepared, and have foundational training on how to produce infrastructure as code scripts ARM or Terraform templates.
• Learn and become proficient in defining key metrics/logging and implement tooling that will provide all key stakeholders with information that will help identify improvements to the service under

Must have Skills & Experience:

• Graduated within 2 years with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the field of Computer Science, Systems or Engineering
• Strong coding skills.
• Demonstrable ability to research and learn independently or with little to no supervisor
• Strong technical background in Windows/Linux server technologies
• Demonstrable ability to acquire new knowledge and apply them
